We ask for a $500 deposit with every custom horn order. You may send this deposit through our online ordering forms, over the phone, or through the mail. This deposit guarantees the next available horn in line and locks in the current price. Roughly five months after you order is placed we will request the balance due. (The only exception to this policy is ordering through a military or institutional purchase order)
If I pay the $500 online or over the phone with a credit card, then pay the balance with a check, do I still get the free shipping? Yes you do. If I live in Massachusetts and I pay with a check, will I get a shipping discount even if I pick up the horn? Yes you will. How long after I pay the balance will I receive my horn? Our makers normally invoice us when the horn reaches the lacquering and final assembly stage. Once the horn is complete and the maker has received payment, they ship it to us. When the horn arrives at Osmun Music, it's unpacked, checked over and adjusted, and shipped to the customer, usually within the same day. The whole process usually takes two-to-three weeks. We will contact you when your horn arrives at the shop. Can I pay for my horn before you request the final balance due? Yes. Sometimes, usually for tax reasons, people want to pre-pay their instruments. Pre-payments are forwarded directly to the manufacturer. |
