Schmid Horn Purchasing Procedures
Because of the wild swings in the values of
the dollar and the Euro we can no longer publish a Schmid Price List. Any
printed list should be regarded as a suggestion only. The actual price
charged will be the one in effect at time of payment.
We offer two ways to pay for your new
horn:

Pre-pay. Pre-paying guarantees that you
will know the exact price of your instrument and be protected from
unfavorable fluctuations in the exchange rate. When you order your horn
we will quote you the current price. The quote is good for one week. If
you accept the quote return payment within the quote period and we will
finalize the transaction and pay Schmid for the instrument. (We actually
pay for the instrument when the funds arrive in our account. This can
take as long as two week from the time we receive the check. If, during
that time, the price of the horn decreases by 3% or more we will refund
you the difference.)

Pay when your instrument is ready to ship.
This option allows you to defer payment until the instrument is finished
and ready to leave the workshop. You get to hold your money longer and
if the dollar should strengthen you will reap the benefit. (Of course,
the opposite is also true.) When you place your order you will make a
$1000 deposit. We will calculate the current price to use as a base. The
price you pay will be that in effect when the horn is ready. (Osmun
Music will cap any price rise at 7.5%.)
The prices we quote are all-inclusive. They
include pre-delivery checks and adjustments, installation of buna bumper
stops if desired, and UPS Three Day Select shipping within the US. Please
note that the price does not include a case unless specifically
requested.
Methods of Payment: We accept cash, bank
checks, wire transfers, and personal checks. Credit cards are accepted but
are subject to a surcharge.
