The Stork Vacchiano Series
Trumpet and Piccolo Trumpet Mouthpieces
"In over 50 years as a performer and teacher of the trumpet, I
have had abundant opportunities for testing the various principles of
mouthpiece design. Now, as a result of this knowledge, I have
developed my own line of trumpet and piccolo trumpet mouthpieces.
Each element of these pieces has been blended together to give the
most consistent results in quality of sound, attack, endurance and
overall playability. I have been fortunate in having the finest
quality in craftsmanship and the artistic integrity of John Stork to
put a lifetime's work into effect."
William Vacchiano
Principal Trumpet N.Y. Philharmonic 1935-1973
Professor of Trumpet Studies at the Juilliard School

PICCOLO TRUMPET MOUTHPIECES
"These mouthpieces were designed especially for the high
trumpets. All models have special features in rim, cup, bore and
backbore that give excellent support for sustained playing in the
upper register while maintaining a big symphonic sound."

All Vacchiano models are now available with the following
backbore alternatives.
A A tighter backbore, often preferred by commercial players.
B Our standard Vacchiano backbore.
C Somewhat larger than the Vacchiano backbore for less
resistance with a more open sound.
D A large symphonic backbore.
E A very large backbore for symphonic playing and/or use with
the higher trumpets.
All Vacchiano models are available with trumpet or cornet shank.
The Studio Master Series
Trumpet, Piccolo Trumpet and Flugelhorn Mouthpieces
A unique design especially for the commercial musician. Puts more
sizzle, scream and pop into every track! Studio Master models are
shorter in length than a standard trumpet mouthpiece. This factor,
combined with compensating features in cup, bore and backbore, work
to boost the high range while opening up the sound for a full, free
tone.

The LT, LTV, and LTS models offer extra resistance for those players
who like the feeling of "something to push against." Choose the cup
depth that best accommodates your personal needs allowing for
adequate room for free vibration and sound production.
The LD, LDV and LDS models are really "wide open" pieces in three
different cup depths. These models favor those players who may have
wanted to use a shallow mouthpiece in the past, but felt they never
could get enough air into them.
The SP model is intended for use on the piccolo trumpet. Even though
the cup is shallow, it still has plenty of "bowl" to help warm the
sound. These models are available in either trumpet of cornet
shank.
The VM and VMS models are preferred "crossover" pieces. These models
are great favorites among players doing "Pops" concerts, stage shows
and musicals.
The LX, XV, XS, XMS, and XM models feature the same cup choices as
those models above of the same shank length, but with a tighter
backbore. While these models are still freer blowing than most
shallow mouthpiece designs, they offer just a bit more resistance
than their counterpart models.
