We believe this Yamaha C trumpet was thrown across a room in frustration.

The difference between a bore sizes on the average trumpet are .003"-.005", but when you don't clean and lubricate your horn, bore size is a moot point. Proper lubrication and yearly professional chemical cleaning can prevent the kind of build-up you see in this Bach trumpet.

Even the best made instruments need proper lubrication and upkeep. The following before and after shots are of some Engelbert Schmid rotor valves and casings. Notice the build-up of green copper oxide on the valves.
