This is a sample of some of the custom work done by our technicians.
These are shots of a Edwards trombone hand slide that Jim Becker turned into a tuning hand slide. The stop nuts lock the slide into place after tuning.
This is a 1970's early Elkhart Bach Stradivarius that we overhauled, double silver plated, and gold plated. This horn has a custom Osmun copper lead pipe. We replaced the tuning slide crook and third slide crook because the originals were stricken with de-zincification. The horn's owner, Eric Berlin, is the principal trumpet of the Albany Symphony, and teaches at UMASS Amherst.
The following pictures are shots of a bell switch that we did involving a new Martin trumpet. The Martin trumpets made today have a bell that are closer to the Holton Maynard Ferguson bells, very similar to the Bach 72 shape. It works well, but doesn't give you that sound. If you click on each picture, you can see the differences in bell shape. The Blue bell is the bell that came with the horn. Over the last couple of years, the demand for our Piccolo Trumpet Mouthpipes has increased. We are now producing a full line of mouthpipes for most major brand of piccolo trumpets.
